In battle, players will simply have to unleash powerful Hero Combos to win and progress. The narrative starts when Nowa’s hometown is engulfed by a devastating fire, which only kickstarts a darker conspiracy. Meant to be a modern take on classic Japanese RPG, the game features a six-character battle system and over 100 playable characters, as the name of the game hints. The new gameplay trailer for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes has been released, revealing more details for the upcoming turn-based strategy game. It’s also a way for players to hone their skills and adjust to the more aggressive play style by participating in multiple match types.Īlso, as with every TEKKEN game in the series, there will still be a Story Mode. They can then interact/compete with other players on the server. In this mode, players can create their own fully customizable avatars. Although not featured, Heihachi’s lovable bear Kuma returns to the fight.Īpart from all the innovations announced beforehand, TEKKEN 8 introduces a new game mode called Arcade Quest. They all had cameo time during the trailer. Key returnees like Yoshimitsu, Steve Fox, Leo, Shaheen and Sergei Dragunov made the cut. The latest ones were rather subtle in announcement. ![]() Half of the roster was already revealed these past few months. During the festivities over at gamescom 2023, they announced that TEKKEN 8 will be hitting the shelves early next year! This announcement came as an entire package with more exciting features and fighters to choose from.įirst, the trailer starts off by announcing that there will be more fighters coming to the game - 32, to be exact. Oh I wish Tekken 7 could bring back his shirt. After months of waiting, BANDAI NAMCO finally has the date that many have been waiting for. Lee Chaolan ! Still my favourite character. I was floored.īut most of all! It brought back the king, even better than ever. I was so invested into the story and the music with the TOUGH bass line just made my heart skip several beats. I remember the final battle between Jin and Kazuya, that was so intense for me. ![]() Some of them really evolved instead of being just one-note comic reliefs and parody of themselves (looking at you Paul) The story was also super good, it's the last Tekken that really tried to go forward with the plot for every character. The music of the Building stage with the super stylish rooftop hit every note of my aesthetics The music was *chef kiss*, coupled with the stages I really felt a sense of presence, it's like I was there. Tekken 4 is unmatched in urban stages design (screw the jungle stage tho), I wish Tekken 7 could have a shibuya-like stage like T4. Shibuya was mind-blowing back then, Airport was that semi-infinite stage where you could still walls, the mall stage with the huge echo sound and the floor reflections was wack too. The mos important part about it were the stages, they were super good. What really makes it super good is the overall atmosphere of the game: every part of the game oozed of it. It was a different, slow paced experience but it really worked at what it set out to do. Tekken 4 pushed the envelope of what Tekken could be. It was a wack one the balance was way off, uneven terrains brought so many frustrating situations, combos were so bad that it was better to cut off your combo and hit your opponent on the ground again than to do a full regular combo.īut it was still great.
